Engagement | Becca & Brenton
Let’s talk about this beautiful and sweet couple; quite honestly, Lighter Focus Photography beautifully captured this lovely pair. I first met Becca at a little posh cafe in Jefferson City, and we chatted way past closing time (oops!). Becca began describing how she and Brenton met, and my heart just melted as I could hear the genuine love and affection in her voice.
Becca and Brenton went to the University of Missouri and were active in Greek life: she, a Theta, and him a member of Farmhouse. Though they did not attend Mizzou at the same time, met by chance in Columbia.
Back in 2015, after an evening enjoying Columbia’s downtown nightlife, the two individually awaited rides back home outside of The Penguin Piano Bar. Brenton and Becca, having never met each other before, they engaged in conversation while they waited. They learned that they were from neighboring towns and had a bunch of mutual friends. After much chatting, the two decide to head across the street to sit down and enjoy each other’s company over a plate of El Rancho nachos.
The couple quickly began dating and after about 2.5 years they got engaged. In the true spirit of authenticity, Brenton decided to propose to Becca where they first met: outside The Penguin Piano Bar. Little did Becca know that when she walked downtown with a friend one day, Brenton would ask for her hand in marriage. Hidden just inside The Penguin Piano Bar, Brenton anxiously awaited for Becca to walk by. With a bouquet and ring in hand. Brenton stepped outside and asked Becca to marry him.
Oh man, I just love when stories come full circle.
I’m beyond thrilled to coordinate the unique details of this couple’s special day this September. I’ll be sharing more details soon; you won’t want to miss out!
