Blue and Silver Winter Wonderland Wedding Inspiration at Main Street Abbey

When I think of winter weddings, I tend to think of pine, lots of greenery, perhaps some burgundy, and snow everywhere. When Rochelle approached me about helping her plan a Winter Wonderland shoot, she expressed a desire to approach the theme a bit differently. We were inspired by shimmery white snow, icy blues, frozen elements, and a dreamy romance. The incredible team of Saint Louis wedding vendors that came together to style this day wanted to capture the beauty of winter snow and romance. Little did I know that this shoot would turn into something quite special. In fact, this shoot has been officially PUBLISHED on Wedding Chicks, a large online wedding publication. Check out the feature on their website by clicking here.

Main Street Abbey, located just East of Saint Louis, was the perfect setting for our wintry shoot. This stunning, historical church features grey floors, white walls, and slate-colored details. Main Street Abbey is just a gorgeous wedding venue!

The silver-blue palette chosen is a perfect way to give you a soft, romantic winter wedding. Accents of shimmer and sparkle enhanced the vision we had of winter snow. The entire vibe of this wedding shoot is bright and elegant.

The Inspiration

Stationery

The inspiration begins with a beautiful invitation suite designed by Courtney Winet Design. She incorporate vellum paper, white font, and soft blues into the suite. The menu cards placed on each table setting were made of a vellum paper and complimented with white calligraphy.

The Real Couple

Our models are a real couple, and their chemistry was alive during this shoot. They were a dream to work with during this winter wonderland inspired wedding shoot. Of course, the shoot would not have been the same if it hadn’t been for our sweet husky friend. Who doesn’t love dogs at their wedding?

Sweets

Our friend at Cake House Designs created the most magically desserts for this winter escape. Each dessert item included a bit of sparkle; they were definitely eye catching!

The Florals

The team at Rosie’s Blooms did a phenomenal job of creating stunning floral installations. For this shoot, we repurposed the ceremony installation and used it as the runner for the table arrangement. Couples planning their weddings can easily repurpose many items from their ceremony to their reception; just make sure that your floral designer is there for the move!

Hey, I’m Terra!

Born and raised in Missouri, I’m a grateful wife and dog mom to my rescue pups, Hildi & Lola. I’m a true believer in the pursuit of bold dreams, learning from mistakes, and staying curious.

I'm a girl that lives in her Chacos during the summer, and I'm typically always wearing lipstick. Yes, red is my preference! When I'm not helping engaged couples plan weddings, you'll find me on stage teaching Jazzercise classes. Needless to say, creating engaging experiences that leave people feeling good afterwards is my passion. Seriously!

I’ve created this blog and my wedding packages to empower you to plan an awesome wedding day and put all of the stress and obligations straight into the dumpster! Now that sounds like a party.
