Megan & Jason are incredibly busy professionals previously from Columbia, Missouri, who decided to host their wedding at Emerson Fields, a beautiful contemporary wedding venue located in Macon, Missouri. The couple got engaged at Arches National Park, and quickly found themselves seeking out venues to get married. They found Emerson Fields online, and quickly discovered that it was the perfect place for them to get married. The venue’s dock area provided the perfect backdrop for their intimate wedding ceremony. The two then held their reception inside the venue’s indoor space.

While Megan lived locally while planning their wedding, Jason had taken a new job, which had him move across state lines. Megan was incredibly on top of things when it came to planning, she knew that hiring a planner would be critically important to the overall enjoyment of their day. Here’s what Megan had to say about why they decided to hire a planner, “Organization & handling logistics of big day.”

WE ASKED Megan, “WHAT MADE YOU CHOOSE TO WORK WITH PLAN IT TERRA? WHY DID THAT MATTER TO YOU?”

Jason and Megan both got ready with their bridal parties onsite at Emerson Fields. The bridal suite area provided the best lighting for Emily Broadbent Photography to capture stunning portraits of Megan in her bridal gown. We loved how Megan opted for a bold lip color, which perfectly complimented her overall color scheme for the day. She looked stunning. The bride and groom opted to not see each other prior to the ceremony, but with an early ceremony time, the majority of photos had to wait until after the ceremony.

This beautiful, sunny September afternoon was perfect for an outdoor ceremony at the venue’s dock location. The intimate ceremony was was sweet, and it was a perfect reflection of the couple. The arbor designed by Bare Roots was a colorful backdrop framing the couple beautifully.

After the ceremony, the couple took family photos and wedding party portraits at Emerson Fields’ pavilion. While the couple took photos, their guests were welcomed into the reception space to enjoy appetizers and delicious beverages. Of course, High Class DJs provided a fantastic playlist while guests mingled and enjoyed joyful conversation.

After finishing their portraits around the venue, it was time for the duo to make their grand entrance. Guests were seated at tables perfectly styled by Pretty Little Things, who provided vintage details into every centerpiece. Everything was complimented by stunning florals designed by Bare Roots. We really loved the signage that Pretty Little Things made. Megan and Jason made their grand entrance, immediately cutting their cake before enjoying their first dance as husband and wife. Before we knew it, it was time for everyone to enjoy dinner, speeches, and dancing. To finish off the evening, the couple was given a grand sparkler exit, where they made their getaway in a rosy pink Bel Air.

We provided Event Management services, which included a variety of planning meetings, layout creation, design support, timeline development, confirming final details with vendors, facilitating the rehearsal, managing their wedding day, and so much more.
