Maybe you’re an aspiring entrepreneur looking for the encouragement to take the step towards your goals. You could also just want to know more about me and for that I’m quite humbled. So, what now? I want to open up and share a little bit about me, the person behind Plan it Terra.
It was a wake up call.
I remember sitting in a job interview one time, and I was asked to share details about the last creative thing I had done. I’m very rarely at a loss for words, and in that moment it occurred to me that I had not been honest and true to myself as a creative. I’m someone who lives in the details, loves all the pretties, and isn’t afraid to march to the beat of her own drum. Talk about a wake up call. After much time soul searching and exploring several opportunities and having the privilege to try and fail, it was time for me to pursue a dream that I had pushed aside for a long time. Honestly, longer than I care to admit.

Plan it Terra is a full wedding planning and design company geared towards creating bold celebrations for the modern love story. I’ve grown it to be a business focused on celebrating couples genuinely and boldly. Friends, I genuinely care about you, and I know how important it is to plan one of the best parties of your lifetime. Yes, you heard me. Speaking fundamentally, your wedding is a party. Why shouldn’t it be authentic, unique, and breakthrough traditions? It is my goal to help couples put together a party that maximizes your joy and greatly reduces your stress levels.

My name is Terra Nickelson, and I am honored and grateful to be supported by my friends and family to pursue this crazy dream I have to help couples design and plan bold celebrations that authentically represent them as people. I’m here to help you tell your modern love story, and friends there is so much joy to be had.

Born and raised in Missouri, I’m a grateful wife and dog mom to my rescue pups, Hildi and Lola. I’m a true believer in the pursuit of bold dreams, learning from mistakes, offering joy, and staying curious.
I'm a girl that lives in her Chacos during the summer, and I'm typically always wearing lipstick. Yes, red is my preference! When I'm not helping engaged couples plan weddings, you'll find me on stage teaching Jazzercise classes. Needless to say, creating engaging experiences that leave people feeling good afterwards is my passion. Seriously!
I’ve created this blog and my wedding packages to empower you to plan an awesome wedding day and put all of the stress and obligations straight into the dumpster! Now that sounds like a party.
