Michelle + Clay | A Farm to Table Wedding at Blue Bell Farm
Michelle and Clay’s original plan to get married earlier in 2020 changed with the global pandemic. Instead, this sweet couple had a beautifully intimate wedding celebration in mid-October. They exchanged their vows in front of their friends and family at Blue Bell Farm, a historic estate wedding venue, located in Fayette, Missouri. For their outdoor ceremony, they gathered underneath a beautiful floral arbor with rolling countryside as their backdrop. Their ceremony was followed by cocktail hour on the property’s veranda and their reception was held inside the venue’s white barn.
HIGHLIGHTS
Clay’s family owns a farm where they raise cattle. It was very important to Clay to serve beef prepared from the cow that he and his family raise. Clay partnered with the in-house chef at Blue Bell Farm to provide a delicious, locally-raised beef dish to their friends and family at their reception.
Michelle was extremely excited about the signature cocktails they selected that Blue Bell Farm’s staff made sure to deliver her a glass while she and Clay took portraits after the ceremony. Be sure to see some of the photos Monika captured with Clay and Michelle posing with their cocktails!
Michelle and Clay ditched several wedding traditions such as not having cake cutting or even a bouquet toss. Instead of cake, Blue Bell Farm prepared a delicious apple dessert, which was perfect for this fall wedding.
We loved working with this absolutely wonderful couple. For their coordination services, they hired the In-House Planning Team at Blue Bell Farm to lead a variety of planning meetings, create a detailed timeline, oversee setup and details, manage vendor arrivals and departure, assist with basic decor setup and breakdown, and so much more.
