Missouri Engagement | Lyndee + Toby
A mix of kindness, Southern charm, and sweet love describes Toby and Lyndee. Our team has thoroughly enjoyed working with these two to plan their upcoming wedding in June. These lovelies will exchange their vows in front of a cross arbor installation at Blue Bell Farm, a farm wedding venue located in Fayette, Missouri. They’ve chosen a beautiful, soft color palette complete with plenty of neutrals and small accents of blue. We cannot forget all of the vintage details, too!
To learn more about why they chose their wedding venue and to read some of their advice for newly engaged couples, be sure to keep scrolling down.
Our team is excited to finalize their wedding day details, create their wedding day timeline, and be onsite to manage their wedding day. Many thanks to Emily Broadbent Photography for sharing these images with our team.
Tell me about how you and toby met.
We met our junior year of high school. Toby was the new kid (his family moved to my hometown), and I was actually transferring back to my hometown school after I had transferred the year before to another school. It was totally The Lord’s work! I was debating forever on rather or not I should go back (to my former school), and thank goodness for my random spontaneous decision. We had the very last class of the day together.. and became “friends” instantly !!!!
Who proposed? Tell me about it!
Toby proposed in Dallas, Texas on a spring break trip with our two besties. We went to the Dallas Arboretum (a GIANT flower garden) so I could take photos of my friends (I’m a photographer). However, when we get there, Toby goes “Sooo, I actually hired another photographer to take photos of us, because we never get photos of us.” I was sooooo confused. So we went around having a photoshoot together with some random photographer, and he picked a spot for us to stand in the middle of a patch of pink tulips for some shots. He was behind me for the pose, and the photographer told me to turn around, and there he was on his knee!
How did you pick your wedding venue?
I found it (Blue Bell Farm) on Instagram AND I JUST FELL IN LOVE. It’s everything I could ever want!
How did you find all of your vendors?
Honestly, I'm using a lot of the vendors from my previous engagement. You also recommended several of them :)
So far, what aspect of planning has been the most enjoyable?
Hiring you!!! Stress lifted. :)
Do you have any advice for recently engaged couples?
GET A WEDDING COORDINATOR AND PLANNER! And…breathe.
What are you most excited about for the day of the wedding?
Walking down the aisle and seeing Toby!
what are three words to describe the feel of your upcoming wedding?
Fun, vintage, LOVE-FILLED.
What made you decide to hire a planner?
I can’t make up my mind, and I’m totally not disciplined enough to plan in-depth. Takes all my stress away. You are an angel!
Hey, I’m Terra!
Born and raised in Missouri, I’m a grateful wife and dog mom to my rescue pups, Hildi & Lola. I’m a true believer in the pursuit of bold dreams, learning from mistakes, and staying curious.
I'm a girl that lives in her Chacos during the summer, and I'm typically always wearing lipstick. Yes, red is my preference! When I'm not helping engaged couples plan weddings, you'll find me on stage teaching Jazzercise classes. Needless to say, creating engaging experiences that leave people feeling good afterwards is my passion. Seriously!
I’ve created this blog and my wedding packages to empower you to plan an awesome wedding day and put all of the stress and obligations straight into the dumpster! Now that sounds like a party.
