Taylor + Caleb | A Boho Wedding at Timber Ridge Barn

I don’t even know where to begin with Taylor and Caleb. These two are compassionate, caring, generous, and kind. They are hardworking and incredibly fun, both as individuals and as a couple. When I first began working with Taylor and Caleb in early February of 2020, I did not dream that we would plan a wedding during a global pandemic, causing us to make plans and then to make new plans. We helped to problem-solve many obstacles such as an early sunset (hello winter weddings), venue changes, vendor changes, COVID safety protocols, and more. However, at the end of the day, our team along with many other amazing vendors, executed a wonderfully intimate wedding celebration for Taylor and Caleb to celebrate their new marriage. These two exchanged their vows in front of close family and friends at Timber Ridge Barn, a rustic barn venue located in Jefferson City, Missouri. It was a surprisingly lovely, warm December day to celebrate their marriage.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • After we had a switch in the ceremony venue, our team collaborated with the amazingly talented team at Sugarberry Blooms to dream up a gorgeous bohemian ceiling installation comprised of dried florals and rustic chandeliers from A1 Party & Events. It was the perfect way to draw attention to the ceremony, the head table, and eventually the dance floor.

  • It was very important that Taylor and Caleb could spend personal time with their wedding party, traveling around Jefferson City to take photographs. We built in almost 2 hours into their timeline for the crew to travel around a Prison-themed party bus.

  • It isn’t too often where the groom will stand up to give a toast during the reception; however, when Caleb went up to speak, there were plenty of feel-good vibes in the room. His speech acknowledged joy and honor he had received from the love and friendship from those who had traveled long distances to attend their wedding. However, at the culmination of his speech, he gave a toast to the bride. I love when the groom expresses his thoughts and feelings about the bride during toasts and speeches.

We loved working Taylor and Caleb! Our team really got to know this sweet couple over the many months we spent planning their wedding. Originally, our team was hired for our dual package with Pretty Little Things. However, as the year went on, we took on a much bigger role for their wedding. Our team supported Taylor and Wedding by sourcing vendors and decor, managing a multi-day set-up and tear-down, leading a variety of planning meetings, creating a detailed timeline, managing all vendor communication, leading the wedding rehearsal, and more. Thank you, Taylor and Caleb, for inviting Plan it Terra to be part of your special day. Many thanks to Maddie String Photography for capturing such a special wedding day.

Hey, I’m Terra!

Born and raised in Missouri, I’m a grateful wife and dog mom to my rescue pups, Hildi & Lola. I’m a true believer in the pursuit of bold dreams, learning from mistakes, and staying curious.

I'm a girl that lives in her Chacos during the summer, and I'm typically always wearing lipstick. Yes, red is my preference! When I'm not helping engaged couples plan weddings, you'll find me on stage teaching Jazzercise classes. Needless to say, creating engaging experiences that leave people feeling good afterwards is my passion. Seriously!

I’ve created this blog and my wedding packages to empower you to plan an awesome wedding day and put all of the stress and obligations straight into the dumpster! Now that sounds like a party.
