Taylor + Wes | The Millbottom Wedding in Jefferson City, Missouri
I might steal a line from Taylor Swift and say, “Today was a fairytale.” That is exactly what Taylor and Wes’ wedding day was: a fairytale. Taylor and Wes celebrated their marriage on September 5, 2020 at The Millbottom, an industrial wedding venue located in Jefferson City, Missouri. They were welcomed into their first day of marriage with their closest friends and family.
With Taylor’s mom, Kris, along for the wedding planning ride, the two transformed The Millbottom into a beautifully intimate space. In fact, Kris decorated the venue using houseplants to add an element of coziness and color to the brick walls of the venue. Taylor chose a timeless color palette for her wedding day; it included plenty of white, green, and grey with small accents of slate blue. One of my favorite pieces was the floral ceremony installation, which could not have been done without the amazing team effort by Florissimo & US Rents It. The floral piece was suspended in the air, and it was both eye-catching and absolutely stunning! The installation was repurposed for the reception.
Because Taylor and Wes opted for a first look moment on their wedding day, they had plenty of time for just married portraits after the ceremony. We even had the chance to capture some extra fun night shots that included sparklers.
A big thank you to Taylor & Wes plus Taylor’s mother, Kris, for allowing us to be part of their special day. It was a breathtaking day, and the memories will last a lifetime. This fairytale of a wedding could not have come together without the amazing vendor team who worked as one unit the entire time leading up to the wedding and on the actual wedding day.
