Pierce + Ploen | Sentimental Spring Wedding at St. Francis Xavier College Church and The Mcpherson, St. Louis, MO
A day full of laughter, joy, and thoughtful words stand out to me when I reflect back on Pierce and Ploen’s wedding day. The two of them have the most heartwarming and sentimental relationship, and they wanted nothing more than to celebrate their union with those closest to them both.
Pierce and Ploen were married this March in the stunning gothic church, St. Francis Xavier College Church, which is located on the campus of Saint Louis University. After their ceremony, the two of them along with their wedding party took off for a beautiful portrait session at Forest Park. Later that day, they joined the rest of their friends and loved ones for dinner and dancing at The McPherson Wedding and Event Center.
HIGHLIGHTS
St. Francis Xavier College Church was chosen for the site of the ceremony for a very sentimental reason. Ploen’s parents, originally from Thailand, married each other many years before at the St. Francis Xavier Church located in Bangkok.
Ploen has a huge love for bears, so a custom cake topper featuring a bride and groom bear was a perfect fit.
Ploen and Pierce opted to not do a First Look, and Pierce’s reaction to seeing his beautiful bride was incredibly powerful. I quickly learned that Pierce is an incredibly kind and loving man, and I enjoyed seeing his reaction to seeing Ploen. Even more, the ceremony service was incredibly touching; the priest shared a few of the wonderful things Pierce shared with him about why he loved most about Ploen. Swooning.
We loved working with this absolutely wonderful couple. For their coordination services, they hired Plan it Terra to lead a variety of planning meetings, create a detailed timeline, oversee setup and details, take care of emergencies, manage personal florals, manage vendor arrivals and departure, and so much more.
