Sarah and Ross got engaged during a hike on Ross’ 30th birthday. The hike was really enjoyable, but of course it rained a ton and the duo got super muddy. When the two returned to his truck, Ross had extra socks, and as he handed Sarah a fresh pair, he pulled out a black box. Sarah didn’t even give Ross a chance to ask him to marry her because she leaped into his arms shouting, “Yes!” The best part of their engagement story, according to Sarah, was that it was a good thing Ross wasn’t playing a joke on her.

Sarah and Ross decided to celebrate their marriage at Cooer’s Ridge, a beautiful event venue located in Boonville, Missouri. This venue was ideal for the couple as it was big enough to host their entire families and provided the industrial and rustic style that appealed to them.

The two planned their wedding from afar, but these two were incredibly on top of things when it came to planning. However, Sarah knew that hiring a planner would be critically important to the overall enjoyment of their day. She knew that hiring a planner would help her make the planning process more smoothly; a great planner would help make sure she had crossed her t’s and dotted her i’s. With all of the time and energy spent planning, she knew that she wanted things to go off without a hitch!

Sarah and Ross both got ready with their bridal parties onsite at Cooper’s Ridge. Ross and his crew were fortunate to utilize Cooper’s Ridges’ brand new groom’s suite - The Coop! This was the perfect place for the guys to relax and prepare for a full day of celebration. Of course, the Bridal Suite provides such amazing light for the bride and her ladies to get their hair and makeup completed. Sarah was completely glowing as she got ready for the day. Her smile is just magnetic. After the couple was ready and dressed, the two finally got to see each other during a First Look Exchange. These two were nothing but smiles and giggles as they took their photos!

This beautiful, sunny October afternoon was perfect for an outdoor ceremony at the venue’s dock location. The ceremony was was sweet, and it was a perfect reflection of the couple. MU Tiger Garden beautifully designed the floral arbor arrangement, and the posy bouquets for the maids were just adorable.

After the ceremony, it was time to get the celebration of marriage started. Their guests were welcomed into the venue’s bar/cocktail hour space to enjoy snacks and delicious beverages. Before we knew it, it was time for the couple to make their grand entrance into the reception; the energy in the room was everything! Sarah and Ross made their grand entrance. The evening was spent over good food, tender speeches, and special dances. One of our favorite dances had to be the dance between Sarah’s parents; it had become a tradition for the two of them to dance together at every wedding in celebration of their marriage. We love this SO much!. Before we knew it, it was time to hit the dance floor!

We provided Month-of Coordination services, which included monthly to-do lists, timeline development and collaboration, ceremony rehearsal management, event day execution, and more. We absolutely loved working with Sarah & Ross to help them tie up loose ends and manage their wedding day, allowing the two of them to be fully present for their meaningful celebration.
