Katie + Andy | A Sweet Wedding at Cooper's Ridge Event Venue

Katie and Andy are huge fans of “The Office,” which means that the show played a huge part in their love story. In fact, the two went on vacation to the town of Scranton, Ohio right before they got engaged (Andy got down on one knee right before they left for the trip)!
Andy and Katie celebrated their union at Cooper’s Ridge Event Venue, a rustic wedding venue located in Boonville, Missouri. Katie told us that Cooper’s Ridge was at the top of their list when they were searching for a venue; the two booked a tour and instantly fell in love with everything the venue had to over. In fact, Cooper’s Ridge was the only venue they toured! The ceremony was held outside at the venue’s gorgeous pond. The two celebrated their reception inside the venue’s main space.
WE ASKED Katie, “WHAT is something that plan it terra do on your wedding day that you didn’t expect or know about until the day was over?
“We knew that you’d have a team, but having them around us throughout the day was a big help—especially to get things like water or our stuff from the bridal cottage. We appreciated having you all there!”
Katie and Andy started the day off by getting ready with their wedding attendants at the onsite getting ready spaces at Cooper’s Ridge. Once the ladies were ready for the day, Katie presented herself to her bridesmaids for the first time fully done up in her hair, makeup, and bridal gown. There were many tears of joy and excitement! Afterwards, Katie and Andy saw each other for the very first time outside underneath one of the shade trees.
The sunny, beautiful afternoon was perfect for the couple to take photos prior to the ceremony. Their photographer, Toni Wieberg, took them around the venue to capture the soon-to-be husband and wife. Afterwards, the couple was joined by their entire bridal party.
Before we knew it, it was time to get everyone lined up for the ceremony. Of course, the ceremony wouldn’t have been complete if the couple’s dog, Mocha, hadn’t made an appearance. The entire ceremony was so sweet, and everyone in attendance was grinning from ear to ear.
After the ceremony, the couple took family photos and then took some time to rest before making their grand entrance into the reception. While photos happened, guests made their way into the venue’s bar area to enjoy cocktail hour, which had plenty of delicious food and beverages.
Once the couple made their entrance into the reception, Katie & Andy welcomed all of their guests, thanking them for attending. The two then cut their wedding cake. Later in the reception, the couple were honored with a few speeches and danced with some of their loved ones. The rest of the evening was filled with plenty of laughter and lots of dancing.
We provided Month of Coordination services, which included a variety of planning meetings, timeline development, confirming final details with vendors, facilitating the rehearsal, managing their wedding day, and so much more.
